Amerikana is the feminine demonym for a female American, following the Spanish gender-marking pattern. It is also widely used to describe anything American in style or origin. Note that amerikana (lowercase) is an unrelated noun meaning a formal suit or blazer — context and capitalization distinguish the two senses. Amerikano is the masculine counterpart.
