Hugis is the most common everyday Tagalog word for the shape or form of an object. Unlike 'hubog' (which emphasizes the act of shaping or a molded form), hugis focuses on the outline or silhouette. It is used constantly in math education ('hugis bilog' — circle shape), art, and description.
