Labnit describes the act of peeling off skin, bark, or a thin outer layer — often associated with sunburned or shedding skin, or with stripping bark from wood. It carries a visceral, physical quality and is used in both medical contexts (skin peeling after a burn) and practical ones (removing the skin of a fruit or tree). The verb form 'maglabnit' or 'labniting' is commonly used.
