Usage Note

Taktak describes the action of tapping or shaking a container — such as a bottle, jar, or bag — so that its contents settle or spill out. The reduplication echoes the repeated tapping motion. It is a very concrete, physical word used in everyday domestic contexts such as cooking or dispensing condiments.
