Usage Note
Saluyot (jute mallow / Corchorus olitorius) is a leafy vegetable eaten widely in Ilocos and other Philippine regions. It has a slightly slimy texture when cooked, similar to okra, and is prized for its high nutritional value. It is a key ingredient in the Ilocano dish 'dinengdeng.'
