Usage Note
Tagpi refers to a piece of fabric used to repair a hole or tear in clothing, and also to the act of patching. It is closely related to tagni but more widely used in everyday speech. Figuratively, 'nagtatagpi-tagpi' can describe someone barely making ends meet, stitching their life together through hardship.
