Usage Note

Tatwa is a formal or literary word for denial and repudiation. It is used in legal and religious contexts — for example, itatwa ang isang pahayag (to deny a statement) or itatwa ang pananampalataya (to renounce one's faith). In everyday speech the simpler 'itanggi' is more common.
