Kamara is the colloquial short form of Kamara ng mga Kinatawan — the House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress — and is the dominant term used in news media and political commentary. Borrowed ultimately from Spanish cámara, it distinguishes the lower house from the Senado. Members of the Kamara are called mga Kinatawan or kongresista.
