Usage Note
Diplomasya is borrowed from Spanish diplomacia and refers both to the formal practice of international relations and, colloquially, to the tact and skill with which a person handles a sensitive situation. A Tagalog speaker might praise someone's diplomasya in resolving a family dispute as readily as in discussing foreign policy.
