Usage Note
Kagampan refers specifically to the full term of a pregnancy — the point at which a baby is ready to be born. It is used in medical and traditional midwifery contexts as well as in poetic and religious language to describe the fullness or fulfillment of a process. Outside of obstetrics it can metaphorically mean the fruition of something long-awaited.
