Misteryoso comes from Spanish and carries the meaning mysterious or enigmatic. While it formally marks masculine gender following Spanish convention, it is commonly used in informal Tagalog for any gender — a pattern of dropping strict agreement that its feminine counterpart misteryosa also participates in.
