Usage Note

Talab describes the moment when something penetrates, cuts through, or finally takes effect — a blade cutting cleanly, a medicine beginning to work, or a lesson sinking in. 'Tumatalab na ang gamot' (the medicine is taking effect) is a common usage. The word captures the idea of something doing what it was meant to do.
