Usage Note

Tapuy is a traditional Filipino rice wine fermented from glutinous rice, most closely associated with the Igorot and other highland communities of the Cordillera region. It is prepared for ritual and ceremonial purposes — weddings, harvest festivals, and offerings to ancestors. It has a mild, slightly sweet flavor compared to commercial spirits.
