Usage Note
Tosino comes from Spanish tocino and refers to thinly sliced pork marinated in sugar, garlic, and annatto, then cured and pan-fried until caramelized and slightly sweet. It is a breakfast staple and the centrepiece of tosilog — one of the classic Filipino silog combos.
