DH is an abbreviation for 'domestic helper', commonly used to refer to household workers both within the Philippines and abroad — particularly in Hong Kong and Singapore, where a large number of Filipino domestic workers are employed. In the Philippines the preferred formal term is kasambahay, but DH is standard in conversational and overseas contexts.
