areglado

fixed, arranged

adjective a-reg-LA-do Spanish origin Less Common

Usage Note

Areglado is derived from the Spanish 'arreglado' meaning fixed or arranged. In Filipino usage it commonly describes something that has been repaired, settled, or put in order. It also carries a colloquial sense of something being bribed or fixed corruptly, as in 'areglado na ang laro' (the game is fixed). Context determines which meaning is intended.
