Usage Note
Balinsasayaw is a small cave-dwelling swiftlet (genus Aerodramus) whose edible nests, made from solidified saliva, are prized in Chinese cuisine as bird's nest soup. Nest harvesting from sea caves is a traditional and economically significant livelihood in certain coastal regions of the Philippines.
