Kolehiyalo denotes a male college or university student, formed from the same Spanish root colegio as its counterpart kolehiyala. The word is charged with associations of youth and aspiration, but in advertising and pop culture it appears somewhat less frequently than kolehiyala, which has become the more salient image in youth-targeted media.
