Usage Note

Siyomay is the Filipino adaptation of the Chinese dim sum dumpling shumai — typically filled with pork or fish, steamed, and served with soy sauce, calamansi, and banana ketchup or chili sauce. It is one of the most beloved street foods in the Philippines, sold by sidewalk vendors and in Chinese-Filipino restaurants across the country.
