Usage Note

Duyan is a traditional woven or cloth cradle suspended from the ceiling or a frame, central to Filipino infant care and lullaby culture. The song Sa Ugoy ng Duyan is one of the most beloved Filipino folk songs and has made duyan a cultural symbol of maternal warmth. By extension, duyan also refers to a hammock used for outdoor resting.
