Usage Note
Kutson is the everyday Tagalog term for a mattress. It is derived from the Spanish 'colchón'. In many Filipino homes, particularly in the provinces, a kutson placed on a wooden bed frame (or even directly on the floor) is a standard sleeping arrangement.
