Usage Note
Kulisap is a general, somewhat literary or formal term for any small insect or bug. In everyday speech Filipinos more often name the specific insect — ipis, lamok, langgam — so kulisap tends to appear in written Tagalog, poetry, or when referring to insects collectively in an abstract sense.
