kulit

kulít with stress marks

persistent; bothering

adjective noun ku-LIT Native origin Common

Usage Note

Kulit is one of the most affectionately used words in Filipino family life, often applied to children who pester adults with endless questions or requests. Unlike makulit (the full adjective form), the root kulit alone can function as a light scolding term of endearment without genuine anger.
