Kutsero refers to the driver of a kalesa (horse-drawn carriage), a mode of transport introduced during the Spanish colonial era. Although largely replaced by motorized vehicles, kalesa and their kutsero remain iconic in tourist areas like Intramuros in Manila and Vigan in Ilocos Sur.
