Usage Note
Tulong is the standard and most neutral term for help or assistance across all registers. It is also the word shouted in emergencies. The verb forms tumulong and tulungan are its most common derivatives, and the concept of communal mutual aid — bayanihan — is culturally inseparable from this root.
