Usage Note
Tulya are small freshwater or brackish-water clams widely harvested in Philippine rivers, lakes, and coastal areas. They are a common inexpensive ingredient in soups and sautéed dishes, especially among working-class households. Tinulya is a popular preparation in the Visayas.
