Usage Note

Ultimo is borrowed from Spanish último (last) and is used in Tagalog to emphasize extremity or as an intensifier meaning even in the sense of even that person did it. It carries a formal or literary register and is less common in everyday speech than native equivalents like kahit na or maging.
