Usage Note
Wisik describes the action of scattering liquid in fine drops, as when sprinkling water on plants, blessing with holy water, or spraying a surface. It is broader in application than 'wilig' (which is specific to clothes). In religious contexts, the priest's act of sprinkling holy water on the congregation is described with wisik.
