Usage Note
M is the thirteenth letter of the modern Filipino alphabet (alpabeto), used in both Tagalog and Filipino. It represents the bilabial nasal consonant sound and appears in a high proportion of native Tagalog words. Its name is pronounced 'em' in the context of spelling or literacy instruction.
