Usage Note

Humiga is the actor-focus infinitive of higa, and because lying down is an intransitive bodily act, the -um- form is the natural and essentially exclusive verbal form — there is no clean object-focus counterpart for the act of lying down itself. It is commonly paired with magpahinga in everyday instructions to rest.
