Usage Note
Hikayatin is the object-focus infinitive of hikayat, used when the person being persuaded is the grammatical focus. It conveys gentle but deliberate influence — closer to winning someone over than to coercing them — and is common in both personal and organizational contexts; the actor-focus partner is manghikayat.
