Kalatsutsi (Plumeria) is a flowering tree widely planted in Philippine gardens, parks, and cemeteries. Its fragrant white and yellow blossoms are deeply associated with funerals and the dead, making it taboo in some households as an indoor plant. Despite this, it is also used in flower offerings at churches and festivals.
