Usage Note

Mumo refers to stray grains or crumbs of rice left on a plate, pot, or surface after eating, and is also used colloquially for breadcrumbs. Children are often told not to leave mumo on the table out of respect for food, making it a word deeply embedded in everyday Filipino household life.
