Usage Note
Ontolohiya is borrowed from Spanish 'ontología' and is the Filipino term for the branch of philosophy concerned with the nature of being, existence, and reality. It is encountered in university philosophy courses and in discussions of theology and metaphysics; in everyday Filipino conversation, this word has virtually no use.
