Usage Note
Semyotika is the Tagalog adaptation of 'semiotics' — the academic study of signs, symbols, and their meanings. It is used exclusively in university linguistics, philosophy, and communication arts courses. Like its English counterpart, it is not part of everyday vocabulary.
