Usage Note
Tupada refers to clandestine, unsanctioned cockfighting held outside of licensed cockpits. Unlike the legal sabong, tupada is conducted in secret — often in fields or private properties — and is associated with illegal gambling. Despite being prohibited, it remains prevalent in rural areas and is a persistent feature of Philippine gambling culture.
