Kadyos is the pigeon pea, a legume widely grown and eaten in the Visayas and Mindanao regions of the Philippines. It is a key ingredient in the Ilonggo dish 'KBL' (kadyos, baboy, langka — pigeon peas, pork, jackfruit). The plant is also valued for its nitrogen-fixing properties in sustainable farming.
