Usage Note
Lelang is an affectionate informal term for grandmother, used especially in Kapampangan-influenced areas and some Tagalog regions. It carries more warmth and informality than the standard Tagalog lola, and is often used by grandchildren as a term of endearment; lelong is the corresponding term for grandfather.
