Usage Note

Nangagpaka- is one of the most complex affixes in Tagalog, stacking plural actors, causation, and intensity in the completed aspect. It is found almost exclusively in classical religious or literary Tagalog and is rarely encountered in modern usage.

Literal Translation

" Nangagpakalinis ang mga mamamayan. "

Natural Translation

In old prayer books, the devotees all humbled themselves deeply before the Creator to show their earnest faith.

Literal Translation
