Usage Note

Sungkit refers to the traditional method of harvesting fruit from tall trees using a long bamboo pole fitted with a hook or basket at the end. This technique is common for picking mangoes, coconuts, and other high-growing fruit in rural areas. The tool itself is sometimes also called a sungkit.
