Usage Note
Kamansi refers to Artocarpus camansi, the breadnut or seeded breadfruit, a starchy tropical tree fruit native to the Philippines and New Guinea. Distinct from the seedless breadfruit (rimas), kamansi seeds are boiled and eaten as a carbohydrate staple in some regions and are common in Visayan and Tagalog culinary traditions.
