Usage Note
Naki- marks completed social or associative actions where the subject joins others or participates together. It reflects the communal, pakikisama-oriented nature of Filipino social life, where joining in is valued over standing apart.

Literal Translation
Joined-sleeping I with them.
" Nakikain si Juan sa amin. "
Natural Translation
Juan joined us in eating.
Literal Translation

Natural Translation
