Usage Note

Obsesyon is adapted from English 'obsession' and is used both in the clinical sense of a persistent unwanted thought and colloquially to mean an intense passion or fixation. Young Filipinos often use it lightheartedly when talking about fandoms, K-pop, or hobbies.
